A Beginning in the World of Words

Lea Jabre’s journey began in 2008, when she entered the publishing world as an intern with nothing more than passion, curiosity, and a love for expression. That internship opened the door to her first published articles in current affairs magazines—small victories that confirmed she was exactly where she belonged.
Writing wasn’t just a skill for Lea. It was therapy, a quiet refuge where she could express what her voice sometimes struggled to carry. Every piece she crafted became an act of reflection, resilience, and release.
Writing as Healing, Advocacy as Purpose
Over the years, Lea’s pen moved from storytelling to purpose-driven advocacy. Today, she stands at the intersection of creativity, compassion, and activism—working tirelessly to raise awareness for rare diseases and support communities that often go unseen.
Her advocacy extends beyond social media. With one of her closest friends who she met 20 years ago, she is co-founding Boukra Nour (Tomorrow’s Light), a nonprofit dedicated to Lebanon’s youth. Its mission is ambitious and deeply needed: breaking cycles of generational trauma, offering growth-focused training workshops, sharing knowledge, raising awareness, and building tech solutions for case management within the social care sector.
For Lea, writing is no longer just a personal expression—it has become a tool for impact.
Redefining Life Through Challenge

Lea’s uniqueness is not shaped solely by her career but by the transformative challenges she has endured. Life reshaped her in ways she never expected, teaching her resilience, self-compassion, and the art of living in the present.
These lessons didn’t break her—they built her. They turned her into a fighter, a storyteller, and a voice for those navigating invisible battles.
Creating From Inspiration, Not Expectation
Today, Lea chooses her projects with a simple guiding force: her own creativity. She no longer waits for opportunities; she builds them. She creates platforms, stories, conversations, and communities that didn’t exist before—and brings them to life through passion and lived experience.
Motivated by the Beauty of Now

What drives Lea is beautifully simple: she loves life. She wants to grasp the present moment, hold it, and honor it. After all she has walked through, the gift of “now” is her greatest source of motivation.
Success, Redefined Completely
For Lea, success no longer fits any traditional definition. It is not measured in titles or milestones. Today, success means touching people’s lives, helping others, inspiring someone to hold on, heal, or feel less alone.
Impact is her new currency. Kindness is her new achievement.
A Milestone Built From Courage: Bent Not Broken

Among all her accomplishments, one stands out—the creation of her Instagram page Bent Not Broken in October 2022. What started as a personal effort to share awareness about her lived experience has grown into a powerful community and patient resource page.
It is a space of empathy, truth, and hope—a place where rare disease patients finally feel seen.
What Comes Next: A Future Built on Light
Lea’s future is as full of purpose as her present. Her next chapters include:
- Expanding Bent Not Broken into a leading patient resource platform
- Continuing Heart to Heart Conversations on living with Stiff Person Syndrome with Dr. Ilea Khan—transforming them into a full podcast
- Launching the Boukra Nour nonprofit to empower Lebanon’s youth
- Publishing her fiction novel
- And, above all, continuing to write
Her story is still unfolding—but one truth guides it:
Lea Jabre is not just surviving her journey. She is transforming it into something that helps others survive theirs.
